Katie Croft-Walsh J.D., R.N., Attorney
Katie assists clients with matters involving personal injury, employment law, products liability, professional malpractice and healthcare litigation. Katie worked for nearly twenty years in the areas of emergency room nursing and critical care.
She completed a one year critical care internship before focusing her nursing on emergency room care. Katie worked full time in the Level 1 Trauma Center at University Hospital as an emergency nurse while attending law school. She received her J.D. from St. Mary’s School of Law in 1985 and her B.S.N. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1978.
Since completing law school, Katie has given numerous legal education seminars through the University of Texas Health Science Center Nursing School, Texas Emergency Room Nurses Association and University Hospital. Her experience includes education and training on legal and risk management issues facing nurses such as EMTALA, medication errors, and improved charting.
Katie is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Bexar County Women’s Law Association, the San Antonio Bar Association, the Emergency Nurses Association and the San Antonio Chapter of ENA.
