Ruth assists clients with general civil litigation, and has particular experience in the field of medical malpractice defense, both trial and appellate work. She represents doctors, nurses, hospitals and other healthcare entities. Her practice includes helping healthcare clients draft bylaws, policies and procedures, and contracts. Ruth also assists clients with matters involving family law, administrative law, and wills and estate planning.
Ruth earned her J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1977, after completing her undergraduate studies in Education and Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. During law school, she served on Law Review and in leadership positions with the Student Bar Association and the Women’s Law Association.
Ruth is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Travis County Bar Association, the Texas Bar Foundation and the College of the State Bar of Texas.
